OS 5.0 was released for the curve yesterday apparently. My Desktop Manager still hasn't said anything about needing it for my Bold 9000. Anyone know when its coming out for Bold 9000??

BlackBerry OS Finally Available to All BlackBerry Curve 8530 Owners
December 28th, 2009 Posted in Technology by Bertrand
Just this morning, I wrote in an article that Research In Motion had failed to keep its promise to release OS 5.0 for BlackBerry models other than the Storm, Storm2, and Bold 9700 before the end of 2009. Well, it looks like we can now officially add the recently-released BlackBerry Curve 8530 to the list of BlackBerry smartphones already sporting OS 5.0, as Sprint has just released BlackBerry OS for the Curve 8530.

As you many of you know, the Sprint version of the BlackBerry Curve 8530 already came with OS Today, Sprint is making the OS available to all Curve 8530 owners.

You can download the the OS update for the BlackBerry Curve 8530 from the Sprint BlackBerry Download page. Be sure to let us know your impressions of the new operating system in the comments below.

My desktop manager has been bugging me to upgrade to 5.0 for weeks.

I'm quite happy with the beta atm and waiting for something to change before I goto a stable release.

todbanner, it wants you to upgrade your DM to 5.0, not the Bold. I know several people running 5.0 OS on 9000, maybe if you can't wait you should just try one of the beta 5.0's, you might really like it and if you dont, you can go back to what you havce now. Remember, OS's are released by carriers, for all we know AT&T may never release an official 5.0
