Yeah, I might stay with .423 for a little while when it is released. So, hopefully the few glitches that were repaired on this OS will be the same as noted on various threads as issues.

I had done many a hybrid playing with 8330's and 8900's yet I tried the .296 radio with .421 files today and kept getting error 200 over and over. Gave up and loaded .421 again
Here I am, waiting for .423 and the supposed battery life it brings...
i keep having an address book issue.... copy all from sim then an uncought exception.... been like this on most of the 5.0 os leeks for me on 2 devices

does anyone actually still save contacts to their SIM card??? I thought that was like ancient history
Power Management with .423 is not as good as .296, but I would say it's at least as equal to all the other releases at a minimum and is more a mix between .296 and all others. Not quite as good as 296 but better than the others. Other than that, I haven't experienced any issues.

Thanks for the info CX
Just a quick question re .423 - has the radio file been changed from .421?
The reason I ask is because I'm getting great reception with .421 from Voda compared to other builds, and I'm prepared to forego the minor bug fixes .423 brings if the radio isn't comparable.
I just hope it doesn't use the .415 radio, as that was absolutely dire on VF!

The radio from 215 isn't used. It still uses the base from 421, but tweaked, and changes to java files. Overall the best most stable firmware to date. But of course .423 is old already.
Because at&t knows .405 was better than .415 and .421, been running it from the day it leaked and knew it will be official. Well I thought it will be tmo next official but I guess maybe .423 will be it! Either way it feels good it became official!

No the statement above is wrong my friend. The reason AT&T released .405 is that it's what they've been testing and it's what passed their certification. They haven't even used 415 or 421.

Thanks for the correction. You are right it wouldn't make sense for them to quickly test an os, I'm sure it's a long process before it passed.
With that it mind can you confirm what tmo is testing? .423 maybe? lol it just seems like there are people out there that are running .423.
I really hope it's the same platform as .415 without the bugs. I really like the new improvements from the old build.
