I got one also . I DID install it and everything seems fine so far . I was hesitant because my BB has been fine with the installed one it came with .

Like I said , all seems fine ..................... so far

Well, I just installed it and mine seems fine also. And I see no difference in anything.

I agree, but so far, AT&T isn't offering 5.0. In fact, my guess is they never will since they are apparently discontinuing the phone or at least de-emphasizing it.

    Hi All.

New BB user here. Got my 8900 this week. Finally downloaded the desktop software from BB's site. Synced my 8900 and it said it was checking for app updates.

It started installing and everything seemed to be going well. I got tied up doing other things and left it synced to the computer and installing the updates.

    But 2 things:

It said I would have to connect wirelessly to complete install?

The battery indicator no longer works. When charging I get the cross bar indicating its charging, and when I go to options it shows the battery is charged, but off charger there are no "bars" showing battery strenght.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
