This is a bug for some TMo 8320 users. It is ironic, because I have TMo with an 8320 (running OS 4.5.44) and I have the EXACT OPPOSITE issue. My VM icon NEVER shows... even if I have a voice mail! I know I read another TMo user was having the same problem.

Not worth it to downgrade... everything else with .44 is great! And rumors are saying that .48 is possibly around the corner. And some people believe TMo will come out with an official OS 4.5 by the end of June (highly doubtful!).
I use the phone for work. I need to know if I have a new message.

I just realized after several days of .44...

am I nuts r did .42 give me the choice of installing apps to the memory card? .44 doesn't give the option.

is anyone with a 8320 on T-Mobile having issues with AIM???

I keep getting a message saying:
"Service Not Enabled For This Handheld."

Can someone please PIN me with a solution.

    Thanx!
I've had the same problem since my first beta test (.37). I know a few people have said they have no problems with AIM but it seems like its very few. Most cant get it to work though. My phone is updating to .44 from .42 and if there is any change then I'll update.

I don't mean to sound rude, but if its that important then you really shouldn't be using a beta. Its a beta and anything can go wrong at anytime. You really should stay with the most stable OS out for business reasons.

    You're nuts.

I did it so many times. I even wiped the data and the software.
If you wiped the software, what OS are you running now?

I figured it out, I did a battery pull and that seemed to do the trick.
This AIM is a lot better then the one T-Mobile gives you out of the box. More functionality over all

I have installed .44 on my desktop. It shows up on DM when I check for os versions. When I connect my 8310 to my PC it offers to revert to os 4.2 but does not give me the option to upgrade to .44. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

Yes, I deleted that. The only option the DM gives me is to downgrade to the latest version of 4.2.

I have deleted them from program files, common files, research in motion. Where else do I delete them because the DM shows several still on my computer but I don't know how to get rid of them.

    First impressions of .44:
    • Still has a pretty severe memory leak. I lost 2 mg just sitting on the charger overnight.
    • For some reason my calendar entries no longer appear on my Today theme like they did with the .37 version.(battery pull didn't help)

That seems to be it for now.

I am also still seeing a memory leak, but not nearly as bad as with .42. I only lost about 600Kb over night, whereas with .42 I was seeing a 4-6Mb loss overnight. I don't even try to get a Today theme to work with 4.5 anymore. I'll just wait for a Plazmic update for that. So far, I am liking the .44. Maybe I never saw it before, but in the Calendar options, there's a list of calendars for each email addy I have on the BB. Within the options for each is an option for Wireless Synchronization. Right now, the only option is no. I am guessing that is waiting for the BIS upgrade? But I don't recall seeing anything like it in 4.2. But I prolly never looked either.

Well I went from .42 to .44 to see if it would correct my problem in bb msgr. It didn't... If anyone sends me a voice note, I can't listen to it. It just has "buffering" in the right hand corner. Anyone have this problem or know how to correct it?

Sorry if this was already brought up...

@ alandry65>>>> Amazinlygraceless's way to run pretty much perfect: Here are my steps, some may not have been needed but,
    they got me here;

    1) Backup BB
    2) Download and install the OS, straight up.
    3) Use JL_Cmder
to (A) resettofactory and the (B) wipe the device
    4) Do whatever optimizing is needed on the OS
    5) Open DM
    6) Connect BB
    7) Start Application Loader and let it reinstall OS
    8) Restore from Backup (The one with the date, not the Loader Backup)
    9) Test everything
    10) Sit back smiling like a Cheshire Cat.

I love .44. The broweser is faster and it doesn't freeze like .42 and .10. The uma connection is strong and constant unlike even the T-Mobile OS. I've been using it for about 5 hrs already today. Its nice.

Well I haven't really checked on the memory leak. But ione night I didn't want to go get my charger before bed, so I did a full power off with my berry and the next day it was really really slow and laggy and freezing and gross. But normally, it shuts off from 4-5am and its fine.
