i started having trouble today with my bbm. When every i get a message, the red asterick notifying me isnt on there. I dont know if i got the audio, i couldnt hear over the machines at work. Has anyone else had this problem or is it something in my settings

Are you on the home page when the chat comes? Or do u have the actual chat window open?

home page i get the small icon at top and thats it

And do you have your bbm as a homepage icon? If it is somewhere under the menu u won't get the astriek on the home page
