    I'm pretty sure I might have missed this somewhere, but my mom has a bold 9000 and she's gotta be not up to date with her software, tonight I have some updating to do but does anyone know what the most up to date ATT OS for thr 9000? I'd appreciate it

    screw the newest at&t OS. upgrade to the newest official, WIND .509. its in the first sticky thread at the top of this forum.

    or try to leaked .544, rather have a newer one then older one.

    Well I was just trying a non leaked one cuz the only time I've updated my os is when I did the official 5.0 update for my tour. But ill investigate the WIND one.

    AT&T has not released an official OS 5.0 for the Bold 9000. The latest AT&T release for this device is 4.6.0.297. Many other carriers have released more recent ones and the 5.0.509 is the most recent and seems to work well for many people (including me).

    it might not be official for at&t but it is official for WIND. I never had problems with any leaks yet.

    The newest official OS for the AT&T Bold 9000 is 4.6.0.304, if you do a Google search for "AT&T blackberry bold 9000 OS" it's the first link (or use DM or do an OTA update, both of which should be automatic). Lots of people have had good success with 5.0 but lots of other people (myself included) have had issues with poor call quality, SMS, etc. If she wouldn't be super tolerant of potential bugs, maybe the official 4.6 OS is a good choice. It's rock solid, I have had no problems with it.

    I have a similar problem. My carrier wont let me update to more than v4.6.0.303
    If I download the WIND 5.0 will I still be able to use my phone as usual? Is it better to just wait for the official update?

    You can load an OS released by any carrier on your device. Just remember to delete the vendor.xml file...
