I just got the e-mail too... went to 'wireless update' option and saw the new OS# listed... anything confirmed as to what this includes? I know a few have had issues with the 5.0 OS from Verizon, but mine is smooth. Not sure I want to try the upgrade waters again so soon!

Got the same e-mail just now and I checked the wireless update section and saw this.
    Update to: 5.0.0.591 (4.2.0.284)

Will update date when I get home via DM.

I hope it addresses the browser click, battery drain, bluetooth, and all the other annoying issues.

That's the same OS version that's been out since 3/30/10. The website hasn't been updated either.

If they released a fix to the OS, wouldn't it have a different version number than .591?

How can it be the same when a few days ago I checked the wireless update section and none was available?
I also got a new icon showing new update to the OS on my home screen, just like it did back in 3/30/2010.

Because it's still .591. I've never seen an OS fix released where the version numbers didn't change.

Really? Wow. I guess they did patch it somehow! I wonder if this addresses all the known bugs. Someone should post a screenshot of their version screen in Options. Before and after.

I believe it is an update to .591 that you already have installed, rather than to .591 from a previous version.

Guess this has a new radio file judging from Platform .272 to .284. Looking forward to see if this fixes some of the bugs introduced with the .5xx OS versions, especially the link clicking issues.
