Shucks. I find that the battery drains faster with the smaller .sfi ... (Rogers) - at least in my experience. Also signal seems poorer with the 67MB file.

Don't ask, don't bash - I'm no scientist, just personal observation.

    Thanks for your quick post/reply.
You can always give this one a try first. If you observe the same, on your PC Copy & Paste desired sfi from a different OS over sfi in 649's UMTS folder. Run Loader again and it should "update" the sfi on device without re-loading everything else.

-Pretty sure it didn't used to say Line 1: in front of your phone number before in the Phone app.

Edit: Apparently Line 1, or TELEPHONE in front of your number aren't new.
Just a guess, but this is probably a Service Books thing anyway.
On Telus, my in-call screen says "My Number" at top before… er… my number.
Going back a couple years/devices, I recall this used to say "Line 1" instead.

PS Where in Canada are you?
    Just wonderin'…

Who knows... you may be right but I am sure RIM is working on improving their OS. You can't get supper better from an OS update on exactly the same hardware. Thanks for the info.

Has anyone been able to load it on the p'9981 cause I am having problems. I deleted the vendor file and when I go to the loader it only shows the apps I have installed and not the os.

I've got it downloaded and I'm posting to get in on the conversation. Does anybody know if there is a Bold 9930 9900 specific forum for this particular leaked os?

Downloaded onto my Bold 9900, and so far so good, I am with T-mobile in USA, so I myself have noticed a better signal strength, also faster web, and faster app response. But as always the the battery still loses it energy. *this is only a personal reponse*

Purportedly sfi's (radio stacks) from previous builds (lower series) will not work with higher series builds - i.e., they must be from the same "series" (.300, .400, .500, etc) to function properly.

Last 72MB sfi was in 7.1.0.318 build.

This is so f***ing lame that the mic issue is still not fixed! I really doubt there will ever be another update that works on AT&T for the rest of the life of the device. I guess I am stuck with .318 forever.
Well you can go at least as high as .437 and still have your cake and eat it too (hear and be heard on phone calls). It just seems so.... ATT for them to have this persistent problem.

Would anyone be able to walk me through the process of downgrading back to the latest OS for an AT&T 9810 that does not have the mic issue? I haven't been able to figure this out despite researching it for quite a while, although I'm sure it's not terribly difficult. Many thanks in advance.
