yesterday was prompted into doing a software upgrade on phone did this and since then lost my games password keeper and tasks i have backed up too previous install but doesnt seem to have helped anyone got any ideas please?

Wipe handheld... that would be my only solution probably, after, of course backing up all of your data on your PC Let me know if you need more info, or how-to on the subject

You can try to load them back using Desktop Manager > Application Loader..
