Has anyone else had issues running MS Live Search on .217? It was working fine for me on .167 but after I upgraded it will not open. When I click it nothing happens, if I go to Switch Applications to see what is running, it shows the icon but if I click it there it still does not open. Any ideas? I really like this program (great for movie listings and such).
This has been discussed at least 100 times in the .217 thread.
Sorry, did a search in the "Official Findings .217" thread and didn't come up with any results
Hasn't worked since .185 OS on the Bold.
As an alternative for now you can try TellMe. It gives you some of the same features as WLS and uses the Live Search engine. Not quite the same but a decent substitute until they can update WLS.

for sum reason, the application Tell Me on OS .217, the talk feature doesnt work, it worked on the OS .216 but doesnt on the .217, does anyone know why?
TellMe is better IMO than wls. It is actually a MS subsidiary.

Just downloaded TellMe and it's fantastic! Thanks for recommending this program, I definitely like it better than WLS.
sksautomatic, the voice functions are working fine for me on .217, did you give the program the right permissions?
Glad you like it. It's a good app. I'm kinda wondering why wls still exists or if there are even going to update it.
I agree, TellMe is a very good app as opposed to Live Search.
