Kindly point me to the thread with a link, I really need to resolve this. Thanks so much.
The fixes are hit and miss... best bet is to see if you can get your set swapped out or fixed by RIM. Even if you swap it out though, some people have seen this issue come back.
tried this for 2 days, so pretty qualified to say:
- Wifi is great! Seems a bit more stable, but if you weren't having issues with it before then you won't notice anything.
- the loading times for the media card contents are much faster now, takes only 30 seconds (please keep in mind, my media card is filled to the rim with music and same with my device memory)
overall, thats the only thing i've seen improve from .658
things like video loading and better browser are all here as well but already known. though i did feel as if the browser started giving me checkerboard again...
worth upgrading to those that were thinking of staying on the safe side with .658
1. Application Resource Monitor
-included is 1.0.0.23
-AW has 1.0.0.35 if you want to upgrade. (And I know you do!)
2. Device Analyzer
Can someone please confirm version of included BBDA. I have it twice because I had "side-loaded" it previously: 1.1.0.46 & 7.1.0.150
I'm sure 7.1 is included ver, just weird that in App Mgmt it's Optional while the v1.x is listed as Required app.
Not sure if anyone is having this problem/issue but after updating to this OS and typing Alt-BBDA, I can't find the icon in the Options/Device menu for BBDA. I can find it when I search for it though. Any thoughts/solutions?

Thanks.
After enabling, it is located at options>device>advanced system setting

I'd like to give this build a go, but can someone confirm/deny that you can do wireless media sync (music) on this one? Read a post that this wasn't working with this build and that would be a dead breaker for me...

I have this build. So far it's working great, however wireless media sync is disabled. Maybe try the official AT&T build that came out 2 days B4 this one. I hear it works on that that build
I've had .714 running for 2 days now, here are my findings:
1, Better battery life
2, Faster browser with little checkerboard
3, Its snappier, well most new installs are always snappy
4, Better Lockon to wireless signal, almost immediate
5, Decreased memory leak
6, Faster boot time,definitely faster than .658
7, Don't know if its just me but I haven't noticed the music player bug in this build
8, The touchscreen bug when under sunlight is still there
9, Wifi music sync is present, wondering why other posts are saying its disabled.
10, I'm not on AT&T so I haven't noticed the mic bug.
Overall I'll say this .714 is a good upgrade from previous OS.
I have noticed on my 9900 with this new .714 leak (carrier is T-Mobile) that when I turn on the hotspot, it seems to shut itself AND the WiFi off within a few minutes. Doesn't seem to be related to the non-use timeout in the hotspot settings...
I first thought the WiFi was crapping out and taking the hotspot with it but I now believe that the WiFi is functioning properly. Hotspot connects quickly most of the time but quite often when I try to connect a device to it, it won't connect. I take a look and lo and behold, WiFi and Hotspot have both turned off.
At other times the hotspot seems to work normally. For instance, as I am writing this post, it has remained connected for several minutes and all seems to be well. Haven't been able to identify a pattern for when this behavior occurs.
