This has to do with the Battery Saving mode.
That bug was fixed back in .342

This has to do with the Battery Saving mode. If you set the brightness to the lowest setting, whenever you reboot the phone it will go back to 70 from 10. (increase in brightness) To fix this, turn on the battery saving mode, choose 10 and then save. Reboot and turn off the battery saving mode and reboot again.

At least I had this issue on the last leak. I didn't come across the same problem with this one.
I had this issue too. It's what caused me to seek out the latest leak. Kudos for figuring out how to get around it!

That's what I thought too... but according what I read here some users still have the issue.

I am having the same exact issue. Battery life is quite diminished. What can we do but wait for the next leak?

    same issue here.
Went about 2 weeks with great battery life then its suddenly plateaued.

Definitely fixed in .342 and I don't recall the issue in .402 either when I tried it.

I can reproduce it at will in .402, although the fix described above is effective.

I'll give this a try when I load the leak again. Thanks.

Is a wipe needed before installing the .402 leak?

Can anyone please confirm that hotspot works on the Rogers network with this build? I'm on 205 and it's been flawless since day one. Wifi hotspot is a must for me. Thank-You

Been running the .402 for 2 weeks now. The mem leak is driving me crazy. Removed beweather, but that didn't help.

Mem goes from 113 free to 90 within first hour after battery pull.

Anyone tried the .391 sfi with the .402 Java ?

Some reports of .391 having a better signal than .402.

May be compatible as builds not that far apart whereas .318 sfi was apparently not.

That long list of applications you're running might have something to do with it. I only run a handful of applications and the free memory fluctuates up and down a lot more that 25 MB. 90 MB may be a threshold for the garbage collector to kick in.

i am not sure, it feels like after i upgrade to 402 the signal strength start to decrease @.@
    like SOS SOS SOS, ahhhhh
and when i driving, i find the bb traffic took longer to get hold of the position, kind of weird so i am not sure if it is the OS problem

After a week of using 402, and almost 10 battery pulls, i find the radio signal strength terrible. For battery, I used to get almost 10 - 12 solid hours (average usage) on 2g/3g on Docomo's 318, but on this i get a mere 5 - 6 hours on average usage on 2g/3g.

Reverting back to 318, which was the best build for me overall.

Yes, unfortunately battery life seems to be compromised in .402. Disappointing.

Best build for me, battery wise. Can't see any reason why I'll ever upgrade again.

Memory leak is quite bad, but nothing a quick battery pull cant fix.

Even my 9700 didn't need any battery pull, you're saying that you're ok with battery pull with the 9900 and 7.1? You are a good customer sir.
