    1 question Phill........

How do you have so much free app memory. i can only presume that you don't run alot of apps. could that be why your battery drain is so good.

Please elaborate as i am very curious
I have 214 MB on mine after shrinking. Just to let you know.

Phill shows 768MB of Total Application Memory but the person after him shows 512MB which is what I have. How did you get to 768MB Phill?

What would be the purpose of forcing to a higher number of mb's?

It's forced to the correct amount... the 9900/9930 has 768MB RAM.

    One word mate... shrinking!

I have plenty of apps, but I shrink a lot out first. If I don't use it, it's gone.

If the screen is turned off (via top button) while a web page is loading, the screen will turn back on when its done. I noticed this with 7.0 builds, but not with .205.

What did you exactly shrink? I did some shrinking, but even I don't have that much space. One thing I noticed is that new OS 7.1 based phones have very low memory leaks and clock spinning (slow processing) issues no matter how much free space we have. (compared to Bold 9700 on OS 6)

Oh this is why It kept at 512 MB... this was wrong. Why can't Meterberry pick up the right value automatically from the phone? I just force it to 768 MB.

He is talking about shrinking the OS to gai memory. The meterberry set up was apart form that but yes you have to set it up your self manually

i don't see why they aren't updating it. though it works good, but an update would be lovely..

Phil how do you get your battery discharge rate down to 1%? My device analyzer is reporting about 3% average. I only get below 2% overnight while I'm sleeping. Care to give a few tips?

I've shrunk out most apps i don't use, but still have:
    Help Files
    Event Log
    Fonts
Podcasts (can't see to shrink this out using BB Boss or BBH-Tools)
    Voice Notes
    Voice activated Dialing
    BB Maps

Also i leave my GPS on.

    Apps i actually use regularly:
    Whatsapp (alot)
    BBM
    Browser
    Accu weather
    Google Talk

I never use WIFI. My bluetooth is always running, and often connected to my playbook. (but i havn't noticed much difference as long as I'm not surfing, on it).

Your battery drain rate also depend on the network coverage as well. If you are in an area or a building where there is poor reception, the battery will drain faster.

    I got:

Run 1: From 7:30 AM to 9:50 AM battery drain at 1.2%/hr; wifi off, Network ON.

Run 2: From 10:00 AM to 12:18 AM battery drain at 1.9%/hr; wifi ON, Network ON, DLNA PS3 push data for 5 min, wifi web browsing 10 min on crackberry.com, cbc.ca and ucalgary.ca.

This is my last post before I go to bed... I took off my phone from the charger at 100% at 7:30 AM today and now it is 79% (11:00 PM) which is very good. The daily drain rate now after 12+ hours sitting at 1.5%/hr. This is a long weekend in Canada and University is closed for a week, so no emails, BBM, or even text messages. I got few Facebook messages.

If you want to read more about my experience with this OS at: http://forums.crackberry.com/leaked-...ml#post7140689

Good night carckberry nation. I am very happy with my Bold 9900 performance on this OS

I'm contemplating upgrading this version. Currently i'm running .190. My batter drain rate is 4.6-4.7% with moderate usage. It says on the battery trend report that this is high.I've been monitoring it for the past 2 weeks. In regards to apps installed currently, bbm, bb traffic, ofcourse app world, blackjack king game, Groupon, BB protect/bridge/news, Slacker, Poynt, Beweather, Score mobile, Bill Tracker, Ilock Pro, Advance OS and LED, Jared Co screen grabber.
I don't know if any of these are causing it. My brightness is set to 40 and baclight timeout at 10. I'm wondering if my drain would be more with .267.

I just loaded this perhaps an hour ago, so far so good. It seems quicker in responsiveness, and has some extra goodies as well.

    upgraded from 7.0.0.585 I think

1 issue, it seems to take a while to reach 100% charge. First it was stuck on 92%, then on 95%. Hasn't hit 100%, is anyone else having this issue?

Had this build for 3 days now. Looked ok, but this morning I was at almost full battery load, and performed the update on BB App World, and after reboot, I was suddenly at 25% battery!
Good thing I'm staying indoors today, I'll put this baby back up on her charging pod now, but jeez, that's a bad performance. Also, when installing this, I don't know what went wrong, but I started the update, left it unsupervised, then came back an hour later to find a 507 error...

Phil how do you get such a low discharge rate? I only have BBM, Facebook and Twitter installed. And have these set to Refresh every hour.

Under heavy usage I'm noticing the phone get warmer than it had before.
