LOL, Venti Caramel Machiata w/ extra expresso shot. I drink coffee at night and sleep with no issues. The shoulder surgery is going to take some time to heal and I'm tired of sleeping in a d*mn chair- recliner or not. Keeps the swelling down.

Where did you get "23" cups from? Never heard that before. BTW, I don't drink that prior to going to bed. That's my preference when I go to Starbucks. You update to .284- yet?

i was thinking of doing meccas hybrid but im not entirely sure about swapping java files and all that so for now ill pass. whats diff on .284 from .258?

going to follow the advice of blacklatino, Mecca El et al and try this draining slow charging thing.

so, correct me if i'm wrong yall.

1. let the battery drain to the put of automatic shutdown and it won't turn back on
2. charge it dead on a laptop
3. enjoy

is that the basic protocol?

some other questions:
a) how do you guys drain the battery that low...just use it ?
b) how often do you do this draining process? just a few times up front, every few weeks, or every single day...i.e. using the berry till dead, slow charging, using again til dead repeat...
c) would a desktop work or does it need to be a laptop...i know there are diffs in powered vs non powered usbs...

just for anyone who's interested, i have been able to reproduce the drastic jumps in power Mecca got by charging while dead. i did have to turn the phone back off, however, as it always would turn on after a while when i had it plugged in. i have not noticed any significant change in battery life, however
