I think a better qeustion is does it work? Unless it has changed, some get links from sources and "cannot" provide the "how" or the "who". Been there. That's how it works.

File count is now 242mb, verses the original 197mb.

Reason: wrong file size
205 was 252Mb so this is a tiny bit smaller. Going through and removing cods right now. I am new to the 9810 so won't be of much help though in telling the difference. Just sent my 9900 back. Curious if this has the battery save mode like the one they showed at Devcon - on .258
Wow, battery save mode is on this leak just like the one shown at DevCon. For mode switching you have two choices 2G then 3/4G &2G. This is what is showing on my phone but I am on T-Mobile.
Just tried to install this and still getting the dreaded 'you need a BB subscription to install' error.
I DO have a subscription and can install official updates but not leaks.
I searched on google and found a workaround (albeit for earlier ) OS's:-
Install BBSAK
Wipe OS (optional)
Install new OS with BBSAK
Restore user data with DM
Will this work for me (don't want to end up with a brick) and is the wipe necessary?
Yes I have had a tether plan all along but for some reason the previous 7.1 release Hot Spot would not work for me.
I have a previous cod net_rim_api_wlan_hotspot.cod which I took out of one of the 9900 earlier leaks (not my idea, can't remember who suggested) so I extracted and saved. Works to get around this. Working on this build.
