Sorry to bump this Question again, but I can't find a post that an AT&T user has 7.1.0.205 working on their AT&T 9900.

    Thanks in advance.
How about you try it and see if it works? Better than waiting or getting no answer.

    Delete both vendor.xml files.
Didn't know there was two. I deleted one of them (in apploader) where is the second one?

I used legal eagle's link found 2 or 3 pages back and there were no vendor.xml files to delete. I just followed the prompts.

Also, when you go back a few pages, there is a post indicating where to find the second vendor.xml file. It should be in the C:/users directory.

    Search, and you shall find...

im getting an error saying this: This BlackBerry Device Software upgrade includes new features and significant enhancements to the BlackBerry solution and, as such, is only available to users with an active BlackBerry subscription. To learn more about BlackBerry service, please visit BlackBerry - Data Plan - Upgrade Your BlackBerry Data Plan.

    how do i fix it
Ignore Rootbrian's misinformation, your issue has nothing to do with vendor files.

Do you actually have a BB data plan? If not, get one... http://forums.crackberry.com/leaked-...iption-674291/

After updating i lost the abilty to side swipe in the email/messages folder, using the touchscreen or the trackpad. Just realized that they have added it as an option for the mail folder. So if anyone else thought that they just removed this feature and miss it you can enable it in the mail options.

Anyone noticing auto brightness issues? Super annoying! I want my screen completely bright all the timee! I unchecked auto brightness, have it at 100 and yet it still dims the phone constantly!

If you have difficulties using the hotspot and get directed to a page asking you to pay a fee for it, then use the .cod files from 7.1.0.74 or 7.1.0.163 or 7.1.0.190. I have no problems on windmobile, but you might if you're on AT&T or tmobile if you plan doesn't have it.

i just updated to 7.1.0.205 , i typed blackberry.net for the APN when it asked me then , it said connected , and my laptop is also connected to hotspot sadly 1 issue arises , whenever i try to use the internet on laptop i see my blackberry arrows up an down working but no internet or maybe possibly v.v.v.slow internet , it somehow feels theirs no authentication or something. however i have a blackberry 3G premium plan , a 1 GB limit with a 7.2mbps connection , i used to have the Edge unlimited connection but i wanted to use 3G since i wanted to use youtube from time to time ..

anyways RootBrian , what do u mean and how do we put the .cod files of older releases to the 205?

You need to locate the java folder for 7.1.0.45 and then copy over the cod's with "hotspot" in them to your blackberry using BBSAK's Install COD button. You'll also need to look up your carrier's APN if possible.

    ok i got 3 diffrent APN's , its either blackberry.net or etisalat or etisalat.ae

however , when i use either one of them , the internet arrows on phone is blinking but im not getting any internet results on ipad or laptop , i will try to do what u mentioned i really dont know what that means also rootbrian ( the phrases u used ) = bbsaks ( and how to enter the archeive of the installation files and do u manually put them on the phone without the need of a format install

ok im doing it now =)

If you're using windows 7, you'll have to use Everything Portable to search for Java. It's a folder, one of them will be under a Research in Motion folder, or Blackberry folder, or Loader folder.

If you're using windows xp, search within hidden and system files for Java.

BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife is the site for BBSAK, sorry if I confused you.

believe me i went through all folders i cant find a .jag or .jav fileinside the loader cache an the other loader files , it was in appdata / roaming / research in motion

the rest just gave me failed results

tell me can i just install the older version now my time is up from wasting another minute on this ,i felt for a sec to throw my phone on the sea and get an iphone

could you please upload the .cod files and i hope bbsak is easy to use when putting cod files over current cod files
