This past week we saw the Bold 9900 get OS 7.1.0.190 dropped for all to use. The build so far as been said to be very good. Now, Torch 9860 users will be able to enjoy the same OS goodness.

Download Torch 9860 OS 7.1.0.190 from:

    FileServe

    FileServe (Mirror 2)

Installation completed without issue after deleting the two vendor.xml files. BES activation also completed. Will now see how applications run and look for differences. Thanks to all for posting!

    Installed and working
Have tested wifi hotspot and it is working quite well on Rogers
I also had two vendor files and they were located at:
    c:\program files\common files\research in motion\(find and delete vendor.xml file)

    c:\users\(your username)\app data\roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Will see how everything else works out, so far soo good

Works well here on Bell in Canada.

Animations are smoother and web browsing appears to be faster (on WiFi at least), but could be that I'm used to using the browser on H+.

No issues so far, thinking its a keeper.

    Nice... Thanks.

First time it 507 errored, the second time it worked fine. It didn't backup my settings during installation so back up manual prior to installing the OS.

Restored Contacts, etc via BB Protect but not apps, icon settings, etc.

I hate updating. Good way to waste a few hours. On the plus side, its super snappy.

    Thanks!
