    From BBLeaks:

It isn't quite OS6, yet, but Bold 9700 users now have another new OS5 build to play with. It is a fairly nice step up from the last leaked build (.938). If you've got time you may want to check out OS 5.0.0.979 while you wait for OS6!

Download Bold 9700 OS 5.0.0.979 from:
    RapidShare
    MegaUpload
    DepositFiles
    HotFile

I just read this 5 minutes ago on BBLeaks. I was like: you GOT to be kidding me!

Come on, some people out there have OS6 for the 9700. Please for the love of God, give us some of the love.

Yeah, I have the exact same thing. I'll stick to .938 too, but I find this really childish from the people who actually have OS6 to not leak it to us.

Man I'm excited I was so about to downgrade to 862, as 938 has been bad for me (love the GPS lock though).

ALso, not ready for os6, I don't want to go through all the app hassle I did with 5 until it's solid (ish). Will report tomorrow.

RIMs Lab probably hasn't created any OS 6 for the 9700 in executable loader form yet. The only three devices set to get OS 6 with 256MB are the curve 9300, bold 9700 and pearl 9100 and as yet none have leaked. Maybe they're creating them seperate from the others. I'm betting all 3 will get leaks at the same time.

It also makes sense for RIM not to create a loader for the 9700 yet, it is perhaps the most popular blackberry and they know it'll leak right away. All the videos/pics we've seen are devices that have had the OS loaded onto it direct by RIM. Such as BGR, they don't actually have the loader, they just have a 9700 that already has it installed.

I see nothing new right now but I did notice that App World doesn't crash on me when I do a refresh anymore. Anyone else find anything new?

Does anyone know if the infamous call bug has been fixed in this build? I'm downloading now and will report back with findings.

I noticed about 8-10mb more of free space, (upgraded from .938).
I feel like the camera might seem a bit more sluggish, but that might be my perception.

Everything else looks similar to me
