While OS 6.0.0.668 has been made official for the Bold 9700, Torch 9800, and Curve 9300, we haven’t seen it makes it way onto the Bold 9780. However, for you Bold 9780 users out there, OS 6.0.0.668 has dropped on the interwebs, but not officially. Make sure you back up before loading up. We’re not sure what could be new in this release, but it is probably the similar to the Bold 9700.
Thanks all who posted mirrors for reading my signature... One day u'll loose all your sources for leaks etc... The reason you guys not getting playbook OS2 and updated android player is what you do in this topic... Thats all! Thanks for reading...
This must be a very minor update, isn't it?
However, currently I have 6.0.0.600 installed.
Do you think it's worth upgrading? What has changed in this version?
Anyone downloaded it yet? If so, can someone put a mirror for the link. Fileserve is acting up on me right now... maybe heavy traffic from Crackberry users is crashing them down!!

I'm up and running on it. No bugs to report thus far - still in the process of setting up everything and doing some more battery pulls and letting it sit!
I suspect there's little to no difference compared with .666 - which, I will say again, was excellent. =)

Why would it not be worth upgrading. There is nothing wrong with .666, so...
I am thinking to upgrade during the UE outage.... Hope to make the 9780 a little bit reactive... Too slow phone hope to improve my blackberry experience with this!
Okay so I'm on the road but initial observations are positive. I have increased memory and signal seems solid. 1ill add more later. Enjoy!Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com

He just means that 666 actually has a newer radio file, while 668's is milder older, the same as 650's radio.
Meanwhile, the 668 Java (i.e. core functions, native apps) appears to be newer than 666's.
Newer doesn't always mean better, but we're all addicted to trying!
