I installed and verified that this is working on two phones;
Sprint 8530 running 5.0.0.395 and Sprint 9630 running 5.0.0.419
(screens on the bottom of post)
*update* Confirmed working on the 8330 running the boost mobile 5.0.
For the Install
1. Unzip
2. Run Desktop Manager
3. Application Loader
4. Add/Remove Applications "Start"
5. Browse to the unzipped folder and select "BB_Korean.alx"
6. Hit "Next" and wait for reboot
These are the only two phones I have to test this on, so if I could have some more people verify that this is working I would greatly appreciate it.
Works great, thanks. I actually did the OS 5.0 Korean input for the Storm a few months back, but the process didn't work the same with the Tour's OS 5.0 release.
Will this work on my curve 8900? I upgraded to os 5 but found out that it does not have Korean input support so I went back to 4.6 If this works on os 5 though I defiantly want to go back to it. I miss the speed of os 5.

I don't have an 8900 to test this on, but I think it will work. I have tried it on 3 devices all running 5.0. Try it out let us know if it works.

you're my new hero. wow. i love you. thank you so much
So I had jap/Kor and then i upgraded to 5.0.0.230. Then I got the ypkor and unziped installed thru desktop manager... etc... It didnt work so I thought having the jap/kor and the ypkor together had some conflict. So i uninstalled the jap/kor and ypkor then reinstalled the ypkor only. It still doesnt work. This is where I am at right now.
And yes I am able to read korean on my blackberry.

Try installing OS: 5.0.0.419 From MTS.
This is the OS that I installed on the tour I had to test this on and it works with no problems.
So I've been using it for a few days now and I've found that sometimes it would stop working for no apparent reason at all, like I would hit alt+enter and the option to change input language will show up and even when I selected korean it doesn't switch to it. Everytime this happened a reboot fixed the problem but I'm not sure why this is happening, if its something I'm doing that's making this happen. Anyone else have this happen? The only thing I've left open is facebook once..

anyone know how to figure out which letters are which keys besides using trial and error?
Its the same as the korean keyboard on a laptop keyboard so if you have a korean keyboard then you can use it for reference, but besides that, if you haven't memorized it, then I guess you have to do trial and error

I'm having the same problem again, switching to korean input isn't working again for some reason, and I have no idea what's causing it, should I reinstall the cods again? Is anyone else having issues like this with KorInput?
