If you want to try to get more memory, get CrackMem from my signature and if you are feeling really brave then download CrackUtil http://forums.crackberry.com/f35/crackutil-85617/ too.11-22-08 12:40 PMLike 0 - Installed last night up from .81, huge improvement in free memory, 25 free vs 18 free before. Feels about as responsive as .81. One issue I noticed is that when I tried clicking Options-About the about screen doesn't show up. Can anyone else confirm or reproduce this issue?

- I upgraded my girls 8100 from T-Mobile to 4.5.0.102 and no html emails and the led indidcator won't shut off after recieving a message, very frustraing is there any quick fix or do I have to roll back t a different OS??? Please let me know. Thanks. I have a 8330 and running 4.5.0.97 without issue.11-23-08 09:10 PMLike 0
- try wiping/reinstalling the OS, make sure everything is clicked in DM that you want installed... haven't had a problem with the led indicator.11-23-08 11:29 PMLike 0
- Ninja thanks for the advice but I should have mentioned I already tried that it didn;t fix the issue11-24-08 11:20 AMLike 0
- if the 8100 is running color pearl, then that is why you are getting the red LED problem. Just uninstall it an down load blingball. As far as the other problem I remember reading about it in the forums but I just don't remember were. Try searching the forum, usually works for me.11-24-08 01:59 PMLike 0
- Yup it was color pearl causing the problem. Deleted and uploaded bling ball and its all good also resent the service books a second time and html now works thanks for the help11-24-08 09:42 PMLike 0

LEFT alt + RIGHT shift + h, my personal favorite!11-25-08 01:12 PMLike 0 - The only problems I've had with the new upgrade is: the double T-zone icon (which all I can do for now is hide it) my browser didn't startup for awhile, but now it's working, my facebook is downloaded onto my phone but the icon never shows up for some reason. The one thing I'm kinda worried about, and I'm wondering if this happened to anyone else-When the upgrade was all finished and my phone was turning back on, there was a message that came up- and I don't remember exactly what it said- but if my memory is right, it said-"Uncaught exception:net_rim_bb_phone_app.cod (37) Process Terminated",--(I'm not 100% sure if that was the whole thing-the: _app.cod.... may have been different) I clicked ok by accident and never figured it out, I was really worried that it didn't upgrade properly but my phone seems to be working fine, does anyone know what that was and what kind of problems it may cause for my phone?

11-25-08 08:07 PMLike 0 - I ran 4.5.0.102 for 2 or 3 weeks on my Pearl 8120.
When the handoff was made from WiFi to Edge or from Edge to Wifi, calls would drop very regularly. When the call would drop the phone would freeze, making it impossible to place another call. The only way to get it working again was a battery pull.
Going back to 4.5.0.81 solved these problems, handoffs are smooth and therefore no freezing up.11-28-08 02:21 PMLike 0 - I have noticed the increase in memory, which is at about 17mb after a reboot, but on some days when I hardly use my phone I lose anywhere from 2-5mb for no reason, this never happened with my previous 4.3 OS. The memory also decreases a lot now when I use my browser, I use to lose only about 1-2mb where now it is 5-7mb, I'm using the same settings and browsing just as much as I did before, has anyone else had this problem or similar issues? Also, anyone with the 8120 that has 18mb+ of memory, what do you have/not have, or what have you done to gain that much memory? Thanks in advance.12-02-08 11:46 AMLike 0
- Has anyone had phone black out problems after installing 4.5? I don't know if this is the true culprit or my phone just got a defective bug around the same time frame that I did the 4.5 upgrade. I been having this issue about 2 weeks ago, but installed 4.5 maybe 2 months ago, which doesn't seem to make them too connected. My first impulse was to think this is a battery issue, so I went to the T-Mobile store and got them to mail me a new battery, but it has not arrived yet. So I did some home testing, and here are the details below. Yet for some strange reason it will never have any issues if it is connected to either a wall charger, car charger, or a usb. Which is why I am assuming it is a battery defect, sad because I had the Pearl and that lasted 11 months before I traded it in for this Curve, which this is only its 8th month and its got chronic issues.
Here are some new details for my phone's strangeness though:
1. Now the UMA icon won't pop up, I am hooked into my home WiFi network, it shows the name of my WiFi network on the face of the phone, yet the upper right corner displays EDGE in caps, and I do get the WiFi speeds. So UMA icon for some strange reason has vanished.
2. Just earlier when I was out I tried to access Google Maps, and apparently the data download shut my phone off, it wouldn't restart without a battery pull. I went back to the house, did exactly the same thing I did earlier with Google Maps only this time I had the phone connected to a wall charger, problem did not occur this time while getting data from the network.
3. If I'm on a phone call and the phone is about to shut off on me, I will hear a hissy static noise over the earpiece, this is a noise that is noticeable to the other person on the line as well.
4. Although I only did this once, therefore I don't think this is any statistically strong evidence of much yet, but I turned off WiFi on my phone, and ran it on the T-Mobile network only (I have always had both WiFi and normal phone networks on) and did exactly the same thing I did in step 2, this time I did not get powered off.
Conclusion, still waiting for the new battery but am beginning to think that something may be defective with my actual phone, anyone experience this problem and had any solution to their problem? Could there be a conflict with having both networks on at once, and if so what is the fix because what is the point of having a curve with WiFi access if I can't use it.
I have also wiped my phone completely and tried to go back to 4.2OS, I put the phone on a loop call with my voicemail to test, and the phone still blacked out after about ten minutes, I'm going to just update it back to the 4.5OS and wait for the battery, this is annoying.01-14-09 03:06 AMLike 0 - i have read that keeping the memory card in during the install causes this problem . is it true?? should i remove the memory card and re install the os.. pls help.04-08-12 06:32 AMLike 0

If I had a clue what BlackBerry yourer using, I'd have used your post to start a thread in the appropriate forum. This leaked OS hadn't received a post in over 3 years.
I can tell you, no matter what the model, I've never had an issue leaving the SD in, with at least a thousand upgrades over the years.
Try making a thread with some specifics, in the right forum, and you should get the help you need.04-10-12 10:55 PMLike 0
