I remeber when I was 17....back in the days when you had to actually "dial" a phone that was connected to the wall with a cord.

I still have one of those around the house. My Dad worked for the old NY Tel, apparently in the warehouse given the amount of phone equipment he was storing for NY Tel in our basement.

In those days you didn't even own your phone. You rented it from the phone company.
