I have been intentionally not signing in to crackberry to avoid the disappointment of not seeing a 5.0 leak for the 8330m. I just want to know if there actually is a timetable, if any, for when this release is coming out. I'm probably getting the curve2 when it comes out for sprint, but if i get the new os i don't see a point in doing so. Its not like I need the 5.0 os, but its just depressing seeing your device become obsolete on these forums. My phone no longer excites me. I did get the 8520 games, thanks to xliderider, but that is as far as i have gotten. (whiny, pissy rant over)

im starting to lose all hope myself. ive pretty much come to the conclusion that our 8330's are getting phased out and i will need to upgrade my phone if i want anything new from sprint or RIM.
Yes it is very frustrating.......I keep looking for something new for mine too and keep on getting the disappointment of knowing I bought an antiquated phone.
the 8330 and 8330m is definitely a forgotten child, it's simply not going to do a lot of the things RIM is implementing in the near future, especially graphically... i wouldn't expect the 8330m to EVER see a 5.0 update
I agree I just purchased the 8330m and wouldnt have done so if I'd had even thought it would be a relic so quickly I'd have spent the extra $ and gone with the tour

lol for nice usage of the word 'relic' hahaha relic...anyway, who knows, they 5.0 has been released to carriers for nearly every phone but this one, rim doesn't release them, they give os's to carriers, and thats when they leak. considering the small market for the 8330m i wouldn't be surprised if sprint never releases 5.0 for it. sprint sure does have a bad blackberry lineup, the tour isn't seeing much 5.0 love either, and theres the 8530 out now, and tour 2 on the way also...
Well count me in on this bull sh*t and Im not on the big V or att im with US cellular I have 4.5.0.169. Now refresh my brain the reason why those of us whit a 8330m can't use a betta 5.0 and the 8330 can is because Im on a cdma ???
The m has slightly different hardware than the regular 8330. It has more to do with esn and meid identification numbers as well. If Sprint wanted 5.0, I think we would have it for the m. I have no idea whether Sprint has some kind of marketing strategy, or if they have a bad relatiobship with RIM. It seems to me that Sprint's current unlim. Data plan could play into their relationship with RIM. It is all conjecture. Verizon seems to be leaving all the other Carriers in the dust but I am not switching over yet.
