Welcome back irtehun. It definitely has been a while. For anyone who does not know who this is or if the hybrid is good, this is a guy who has been at this for a long time. My first hybrid was done by irtehun. I will definitely be putting this on my 9930.

awesome. yeah back in the BlackBerry Tour days. been at this forever it seems like.
Just to be clear... I can install over my current OS, 7.1.0.580? I've never wiped device prior to OS change either.
Builder recommends using ..649 base in first post.
I was sceptical about wiping before loading a new Hybrid OS and used to rely on DM wipe as part of the install process. Eventually began to cause me problems so I have started to wipe before loading new Hybrid via App Loader and only use DM to backup and restore now. Oops. Missed the .649 part. I'll have to play with this over the weekend.
I've been running this hybrid for about 5 days now and have been meaning to report back sooner. Been pretty solid. I always love updating the OS because device runs pretty smooth after each update. It has continued to stay stable and finally was able to monitor my battery life. Battery life is slightly better by a few % compared to 7.1.0.580.
I'm very pleased with it. To all you other 9930 users... give it a try.
Been running this for 24 hours. All apps work and I have not found any bugs. GPS, Wifi, PB Bridge all lock very quickly. OS seems very stable, and UI great. Experiencing small memory leak, but I've had that with all OS and hybrids since 5.0. I'll let it settle in and report on battery. Thanks irtehun.
My initial attempts at a full swap were a failure. I'm curious to see one to figure out what I was doing wrong.
Back to this great 649/714 base.

Silly question.... but vendor files are removed right?
I know I had a quick fix problem when I first installed. Make sure the folder you are installing over matches exactly. If the folder name doesn't match, it won't recognize OS.
Another note, I am not trying to challenge your knowledge or skill, but be careful... I smell disaster.
