Try going to APP World and make sure you have the current version. If not install the newest version. If you do you may need to remove and reload it.

ok, the thing is, i was not able to change my status too, i have 103 contacts, so i deleted 3 and yup its working again, but the problem here, my friend have the same BB, same OS and same BBM version, we even have the same package from the telecom and he have 105 contacts and still can change his status !!!!!
