Went back to JustinAdam's 091809 hybrid for now, BB Maps and BB Messenger icons were there and working.
Weathereye working normally as well.
Version 2 has been uploaded. Blackberry maps should be fixed, and weathereye seems to be working now as well. Going to test BBM in a few minutes.
Verified that blackberry messenger is working now as well.
When I installed version 2, I get the following error message on startup:
Code:Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitFor (0xedae2c374e488c64) timeout
Try a battery pull and see if it still comes up. I haven't been able to reproduce that on my phone. Do you have any apps that aren't working?
I wiped my phone and loaded version 2, but I still get the same message. I also noticed that the BB Alpha Sans font was missing. When I try to install the Gmail plugin, I get the following error message after downloading:
Code:The application requires the following module, which is not installed: net_rim_bb_sms_compose
Might try this out tonight, tried it out last night but had to revert back to original software due to the Blackberry messenger icon not showing up. Will let you know how it goes :)
What will show in my "about" screen?
4.5.0.169 platform 3.4.0.51

Ok then I'm doing it right. I still dont have myspace or BBM. am i doing something wrong?
wvebert,
Try a battery pull, and a wipe and load.
Also I have come to the conclusion that we are pretty much at the wall for hybriding this os more. Any files I have tried to replace in the last 2 days leave me with a phone that won't boot. Will keep searching though.
Ok I will try that. Im just scared as **** to a total wipe. I think I do have the cojones to go for it. If I screw it up I know where to find the best suppot. No not Blackberry, I need Crackberry!
Just be sure to back up your info with the desktop manager, and you can backup your third party apps with BBSAK.
so is there going to be a version 3 or should i just go for version 2?
I am trying to find files to put into a version 3. It has come down to slim pickins as of late. I think we may have hit the hybrid wall.
Warriorforgod, thank you for your work on this hybrid, I and many others appreciate it!!!! Keep it up!!!!

I will be throwing this file into Version 3 which will be out later today.
Not a problem. Trying to get us as close to 5.0 as possible.
I tried it last night but had to revert back to my original software, I liked it but without the alpha sans font it just seemed weird to me. Thanks for doing this though! Looking forward to version 3!
i know you don't want questions on how to install on here, but i've gotta ask...in one of the other link's directions on how-to it says to erase everything in the main OS folder and replace with the downloaded link...am i doing the same with yours...or like your directions just copy these files INTO the Java folder and but NOT deleting the orig contents...so i'm just adding ALL this stuff to the cod's that are in there?
sorry, i've gotten downloading OSs...but hybrids are confusing me. i tried per your directions and just added, and did loader.exe and it didn't pick up anything different??
Version 3 has been uploaded. I put in the stock blackberry.alx and removed the games. This should fix the missing font. Added in the net_rim_bb_sms_compose cod, so that issue should be fixed. Also threw in more 5.0 files.
Just copy over the stuff that is in the java folder replacing any files that it asks about.
Not to throw a monkey wrench in your just released V3 hybrid, but 4.5.0.170 has been released. ;)
