Has anyone tried with the latest v5.0 BETA files floating around for BOLD/Curve (i.e. .190) with v4.5.0.161 for 8800?

Not yet, I'm waiting a bit, not sure there is any noticable difference.. For me its not worth the work unless I stand to gain 2-3MB more file free.. Also for anyone with wifi issues, I solved my problem by d/loading 4.5.0.162, then extract ONLY the 4.6/5.0 java files in your current hybrid os and copy them in the .162 java folder, then I recommend Shrink-a-OS to remove excess fat, then hit the "run loader", this worked for me. I believe you can use this method for any 4.5 base, but .162 worked best for me..Good Luck..

Sweet. My phone certainly seems snappier. Just got everything loaded up and checked my voicemails (I had 15 in the time it took to get everything back together ).

I am looking for a list of the exact .cod files that can be substituted for the 8820 with > OS version 4.5 files.

It seems like there are some minor variations between different hardware platforms of what can be done safely.

I'd like to roll my own hybrid and wanted to see which files have been worked out already.

I managed to install it and get it running, but for some reason now I can't search for wifi anymore. The button is completely removed for my device, and my alarm clock no longer turns on. I can set it and it saves but it doesn't show its active and it doesn't work when the time comes.

Seems to me that that file is responsible for searching the wireless networks. Although, I haven't tested it myself. got to go to bed now. (got to get up for work in 4hrs
