i bought a unlocked 8820 and i'm using AT&T. Can i still use this theme?

I was wondering because I saw that i had to use t-mo 4.5.0.139+ os5.0, which i assume is for t-mobile.

You certainly can. The theme is one that someone created (rather well, I might add ) to look like the OS 5.0 theme. I installed and used it on my 8820, which is running 4.5.0.161.

Anything else aside from a speed boost? Is the "Bedside Clock" from OS 4.6+ installed?

Nope, all you get is the speed boost.
I'm currently running 4.5.0.161/5.0.0.100 hybrid on my 8800 and it works just great: more free memory, faster browser and faster media player. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Where can I find .161+5.0.0.100 for 8820, I have .161 currently w/o 5.0 hybrid. I can only find .139+5.0, or if someone knows of a thread with instructions how to add 5.0 features to my existing os..Thanks.

Just download the hybrid mentioned in this thread, extract the rar and look at the modification dates of the cod files. It's obvious which ones are 5.0
Paste the 5.0 cod files into your Java folder for 4.5.0.161
Use desktop manager to update your software
Verify by looking at the modules on your BB

Of course, make sure you backup everything and don't complain if you brick your BB

Guys i've just added a link to install BBM 5.0 to the first post in this thread, more progress for us.

i need some people willing to test it out on their 8830's i'm sure u all want to anyway haha

To install just extract the zip file on your computer. Remember the location. Open up Desktop Manager and click on Application Loader. Under Add/Remove Applications press Start. When the screen comes up with all the apps on your device, select Browse and navigate to the folder you extracted from the zip. Choose the BlackBerryMessenger.alx and click next. Then just wait for the phone to reboot and walla, the brand new BBM 5.

    dl BBM 5.0 here: http://www.berryosfiles.com/downloads/BBM_4.5.0.zip

Running great on my 8800 with 4.5.0.161/5.0.0.100

Note that you have to copy the .alx to the main folder of your OS and the .cod files to the java folder or otherwise DM won't recognize it.

Nope...that's the only part (so far) that bites. I can't access my wifi setup/options, and I know other people on here have had that problem with the hybrid.

I'm hoping it will be a easy fix, maybe adding or replacing a cod. My wifi still connects to all of the profiles I set up, so at least I'm not stuck without..

Ive tried this, Installing the 4.5.0.140 software, copying the java dir in and overwriting in common files / research in motion/shared/ loader files/ etc.. just as you said, and it won't work. Tried with dm 4.5 and 5.0 , both with net disconnected. No go. Filename of the OS distribution I tried this with was : 8800M_PBr4.5.0_rel213_PL2.7.0.97_A4.5.0.140 . Any ideas?
