this is very annoying, i am not a newb at this phone, and i am not a newb at computers, but i cant figure this out for the life of me.

i have a factory .148 install on my phone, and a fresh OS install on my HDD, so no files in the loader folder.
i want to go to 5.0 v1 from lyridical, and it says i need a previous OS installed first.
cool, i downloaded .148/5.0.0.100[9000] Hybrid by lyricidal and installed

as you can see, nothing to install. no vendor.xml to delete.
so i figure i'll install 5.0 v1 and see if it has anything to offer, select the .148 folder and install 5.0 to it, same thing.

what the jebus am i doing wrong? i just want to try 5.0 out before my 3rd warranty storm comes in the mail.

I am pretty sure to insatll a 5.0 hybrid you need to install 5.0 straight.

    .148 won't work

i would install straight .140 to the PC first then apply the java files. Also disconnect from internet

Download the leaked 5.0.140 file and install that to you computer.

This would be necessary for any 5.0 hybrid then they hybrid files will be used to replace some of the regular ones. Haven't tried the hybrid myself so I don't know how the installer works...but that's what it sounds like the issue is from what you said....at least that's what I would try.

OK, well that's what I am saying to do. Just make sure the previous OS is the leaked 5.0.140 for your model (9530 or 9500)...I don't think a 4.7 build will do the job for a 5.0 hybrid. Also make sure any previous OS installs are removed and also manually delete any files missed by the uninstaller (this happens if you do some hybrid or even just shrink a os).
