I cannot get the Japanese Romanji input to show in the language option. T-Chinese CangJei works fine though.
My bad. It showed up once. but only in the options -- and doesn't always work.
I wasn't able to recreate that because I went back to 425 and then 428 again. Must have left something out. Now only s/t chinese work.
You are going a long way to get this done. This is what I will do if I were you, I will install the latest 5.0 OS that has the CJK files in it. I will use Shrink-A-OS to shrink the CJK from the OS, then take the removed cod's that are basically the CJK cod's and create an ALX and use DM to install it. Does that make sense?

Romanji never shows up on mine. It could be version conflict with the OS. I tried upgraded to .419 before and T-CangJei disappeared. Now I am on 428 and CangJei works fine.

In some way yes. But I don't want the UI, only ime/font etc. Shrink-A-OS just won't cut it.
Besides, you still have to install 4 OS's. Wouldn't save you much time.

Maybe, I don't know. Romanji was always troublesome. It happened with 4.7.
The only time I was able to get it work with a hybrid is .328
You might wanna try some files from 9700/Optus(.344/341?), or more from other versions.
This first time, when it worked, it was a mess in terms of file versions. Now I'm on a clean install with minimal files from other versions -- romanji won't work though.
I'm quite content with how it is now, S-Chinese would've been enough -- it's the smallest I barely use it anyway.
