thanks, i'll stick to DM just in case lol... What can we use from the 9500 OS? I'm intrigued.. i'm gonna load the new radio file and come back to see what ur up to lol
this will be a seperate post. Keep in mind this has a very HIGH chance of bricking your phone. But you can use any OS on your device for the 9530 or 9500. I will probably have it up by the end of the weekend.
Great post! I just made a hybrid os for my bold using the radio code from .210 which has been the best with MY phone and installed the official .216 works perfect. Note I tried doing mixing 210 with the latest 234 and it gave me an error.

I will update the first post. I am willing to bet that it has to do with the PL versions more than the App versions. But i havent found a way to really test other than trial/error.
I have a 9530 I have both OS's loaded up (.90 and .99). I moved the rim0x04001404.sfi from .90 CDMA to .99 CDMA. then I opened up DM and it did it's little thing asking to downgrade and I selected no and that was it. I did a battery pull and waited 20-30 minutes but still stuck on edge and still havent see EDGE.
Sith,
When you moved the radio file over from .90 did you get any carry overs from .90 as well? I followed your instructions and I now have the larger home screen fonts and larger keyboard fonts from .90 showing up in my.99 install. Did I muck something up? I followed your directions precisely.

EDIT: OK, I just read the messages above (written after I updated), and I did use DM, not apploader. It still said it was downgrading core apps, and when I viewed the details, it showed the radio file being downgraded to .90, but all other modules remaining as .99. Could it have been DM causing this?
Just wanted to be sure, but I had recently downgraded to .75 from .99 because of similar problems. If I want to go back to .99 and try this hybrid, am I able to do this and do the regular DM upgrade without problem?
My issue with .99 on CMDA is that my connection seems to often revert down to 1RXXX, when it should be EVDO and when it started out as so. .90 radio seems to do a better job staying on the EVDO network.
