Updated my .75 to .113 yesterday and everything went smoothly except I don't get the full QWERTY keyboard when I switch to the portrait view... Anyone else have this problem? Any help?

You have to set in Options->Screen/Keyboard->Portrait View Keyboard.

If you have a password set, the update will seem to hang on "Restoring settings.. " on DM after loading the OS. I hit the application switch button on the side and it asked me for my password. After entering the password, DM finished Restoring settings. Did a battery pull after DM reported update was complete and .113 was installed.

Couple hours finished updating my Storm OS from .100 to .113
It totally rocks!!!! Everything works better, I hope .122 is even better. Gonna update it next week

I don't think there is a .114 version for Storm 9530

I can not for the life of me, UPDATE my os. I followed the instructions exactly as written. My Desktop manager does not list the beta os as an option to load to my device. Can somebody please help me out??!

I did this update and it's AMAZING!!! Went from .75 to .113 and it's like a new phone...thank you!! faster, portrait Qwerty keyboard...it's awesome.

Any thoughts on why .122 will not show up when I try to update to it. It installs normally but it I load Desktop Manager or Loader. I can see the files in the "Shared\Loader Files\9500-v4.7.0.122_P4.0.0.153".

Because you have a 9530, and that file is for a 9500.... Look closely at the filename.

I copied the cdma & java folders right into the .113 folder and then loaded reloaded .113 and when it was done I had os .122 and pl . 153 loaded on my storm 9530. Just remember to disconnect from the internet. I sometimes forget myself.

There is a version but unless you use the Hybrid you won't have a keyboard when you are in a call.

Hi Don and all, as a newbe I understand installing a leaked version if it has an install program for the pc but what about .122 that has no such program?

I have the Storm 9530 and wanted to upgrade the OS because of the obvious pains (just got this, my first Storm, last weekend and the lag and bugs are driving me crazy).

I backed up 3rd party apps.
I downloaded .114 from a link in someone's siggy. (Now I"m hearing this wasn't for 9530?????)

I opened Desktop Manager and connected it to my Storm. It is not recognizing that it is connected (Device Connected (PIN): None). (I was getting to the next step from the original post for this thread.)

Now I'm not sure what to do... can someone help?

Specific questions:
1. How do I get my device to be recognized as connected?
2. Did I download the wrong OS and if so, where (link?) can I get the latest OS for Storm 9530?

Thought I was savvy enough but getting a little lost in the lingo. Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem. I just un-installed and then re-installed the program and it worked fine

Um, uninstalled and reinstalled WHICH program?

OK I uninstalled and reinstalled the Desktop Manager and that worked - it shows as connected again.

However when I go into Application Loader / Update Software , the latest option I show is 4.7.0.75. I don't have an option to browse to find the OS I did download to my PC.

What am I missing (brain aside)?

I am in the process of trying to update my phone from .75 to .113. The DM has been hung up at Turning off device radio for about a hour now. Is this normal? Just hoping I didn't make a mistake.
