I have searched the forums and cannot find out what I am doing wrong or an answer on how to get it to work. I am attempting to install Hybrid 101a and following the instructions from How To: Update to a Leak OS. I go to application loader and select the right OS to install and then disconnect the internet and then proceed with the install. It starts to install and then I get "Handheld Application Loader Wizard has stopped working" Anyone have this problem or know how to get around it? I posted this on Sith's hybrid post and no one can help there.

tried deleting vendor files, installing 4.6, unchecked that "check for software updates", tried it 4 times, disconnected from the internet. Every leak up to .99 has worked for me, and it was extremely easy.

ok so im actually in the process of bumpin to a new os, and it seems to be stuck at "Turning Off Device Radio". is it supposed to be like that?

its been at that part on DM for about 9mins now

EDIT : I was able to figure our the problem myself...thanks for the help everyone ( that's sarcasm right there )

Had some trouble upgrading from .75 to .103. Followed the directions to the "T". Couldn't get the DM to recognize the new OS. Fixed it with help from the thread. Even though I'm on Verizon, I still had to delete the vendor.xml file. Once I did that, everything worked great!

I was wondering. After installing .99, do I have to turn off my internet connection every time I plug my Storm into my computer? Will it try to take me back down to .75? It tells me I need to update my "Core Applications 4.7", but I'm thinking that will actually downgrade me. Am I wrong?

Bump for this question. I too wondered the same thing when I wanted to add a new theme to my .99 Storm.

.103 wouldn't show up on DM so i deleted my vendor.xml file on my pc...now my storm is running in between 1X and 1XEV and D

anyone know how I could resolve by putting the vendor file back in on .103

So not really the biggest deal in the world but annoying none the less. I upgraded to the newest leaked OS for my Javelin and forgot to include the games in the reload. Now I don't have my precious brick breaker. Any way to get them back without having to go through the whole process all over again?

You can get it here. Your just not looking close enough when you get there, it either looks like an ad or is blank.

I don't know why nobody will tell but you need to type in whatever letters are next to the download box. That will take you to where you want to go.

1. If I back up my BB OS .75 with the DM and install .103 then decide I need to go back to .75 I can just restore from my backup and .75 will be back the way it was?

2. Also is it correct that any time I restore an old OS or install a new OS I will have to reinstall any apps?

1) no...a restore just restores the info, not the OS
2) you can backup your third party apps....a link with directions is in the first post
