I just got one last week too on BES. It was easily changeable on the BB by going into Messages> Menu> Message Options> Email Settings> and you will see the "Use Auto Signature toggle and then a box to type the signature in.
Works like a breeze.

This is a great thread, I set up my BB I got from my company for my yahoo acct and as soon as I saw the "sent from my verizon bb" I was annoyed. The info on the threads on this site helped me do it in about 5 mins (probably less). Thanks fellow crackberrians!
Thanks for the great info here :), I have been trying to figure out where and how to login onto the PC and you guys are great. Now I get a bonus to be able to get rid of the sent from ATT sig too -THANKS :D
I have only had my Curve for a few weeks and what I have learned on this site is amazing -Thanks again
Hi
I hope you've got this sorted by now, but I thought I'd post how I did it so that other UK Vodafone members don't have to lose the will to live whilst trying to figure this out!
1: Open the setup wizard on your BB, go back to the Email Setup step and click NEXT to open the email setup page
2: Scroll down to 'Services and Settings' and click on it. Look for 'new users - create an account', click on that, agree to the legal T&Cs (if you do!) and follow the steps they give you until you get to choose your name and password.
3: If you have any email accounts set up already, make sure you have the passwords for them because the next steps will be to verify those email accounts with their passwords.
4: When you've done all of that, log on to bis.eu.blackberry.com/html?brand=vodauk (can't do it as a link as this is my first post) through your PC and enter the username and password you just created on your BB, then follow the steps that have already been posted here! Click edit next to the email account you want to change and DELETE the signature blurb!
And that's it!
Sarah
ahhhh....thank god
It worked fine for me. Thanks for the tip.
ahh...finally that annoying siggy is gone. thanks to all!:D
I tried everything until I found Mongoloids instructions here. ATT user that set up with the device first instead of BIS. The fields for email sig in the messages screen under options is not present, the only things it showed were email config and general options, neither had signature information. Going through media net on the handheld worked.
Thank you!:)
Thanks for the tip. I had been trying to do this from my phone but was unable.;)
I tried doing this with AT&T however it says I can only access it from my device, which I do, but it won't allow me to select that text and delete or change it. Any ideas?
The link in the first post for Sprint didn't work for me. After calling Sprint, they pointed me to this url. You'll have to format it yourself (http:// in front, stick . in between each line, etc) because I don't have enough points to post a URL.

Why remove?

I have the same problem with my wife's phone. I was able to set my account up fine with no problems but with hers we keep getting that same error message. Does anyone know why?
Thanks, I have tried for months with many calls to Verizon to do this. This post should be placed at the top of the carrier forum.
nevermind, it worked through IE, will not work through firefox!
On AT&T I tried removing the signature and and it gave me the 404: file not found error.
Anybody else having problems with their At&t phones?
Many thanks... perfect instructions for Verizon
how do I add it (sent from my BB) so people will know Im not on my PC typing such brief emails with poor grammar and spelling? Im on Bell system in canada
Glad I found this...I hated that signature "Sent from my Verizon Wireless Blackberry." Worked great the first time!
Okay, just got a new BB Curve 8330 from Verizon yesterday.
I've tried to follow the instructions and link for BES, but after entering my PIN and ESN number, a box came up saying I need to access via the BIS.
Am I not doing something right? Did the knucklehead at the Verizon store upgrade me to all the proper services?
Your help is greatly apprecitated.
Great post - I could not figure out why I could not edit this on my Curve. I tried via Firefox and could not do it either. Using IE solved the issue and I now have a custom Signature. Thanks to all.
For the other VZW users out there, here's what I had to do to get it to work. First, I pointed myself to this thread on the blackberry to utilize the "Verizon" link Trevor posted (Just realized you can also just do the e-mail settings option right on the BB). From there I clicked on "new user" to create and username and pw. Now on your PC follow the Verizon link and use that username and pw to log in. From there follow the rest of Trevors instructions and voila.
Trevor-I am a new BB Sprint user (Curve 8330). I have already set it up and get email, etc perfectly. I would like to change the "sent from..." signature but am unclear on how to do that at Sprint. My email is through Verizon. Thanks
I use my own POP3 address. Here is what Verizon told me (and it works fine)
Go to: www/blackberry.com/go/vzw.
Enter your user name and password (I did not have one so I called Verizon @ 800 922 0204 and got one pronto)
Find your e-mail address and click on edit
Change the signature
Enter your E-MAIL password (Make sure the user name is correct)
That's it!
If you have a problem call 800-922-0204. I found them very helpful
I finally figured it out. Duh! Thanks for all the help!
I had successfully been using the link provided for my Verizon Curve. Today, I tried going to the site (that I bookmarked) and it's telling me that I cannot access that page in that manner and that I need to use the link provided by my carrier.
I found a link by searching on the VZW site and that's not working either. Then I called CS and she gave me a new one to try, BlackBerry Internet Service and that sends me to the same page. Anyone run into this yet? Is this just a fluke with the BIS site?
Thanks for this great site. I'm a neewbie and there's tons of great info on here.
You must create a username and password from the device using the email settings before you can log into the account via pc.
I did create a username sometime ago. But an update-- I had a thought and for some reason, the links weren't working with Firefox. Odd, because they had just the day before. I tried them in IE and it worked. Hard to say...
I have the lower BB plan does this cost more to sign up on BIS? I was looking at user agreement and it said "No payment is made directly to RIM; all payments for BIS are made to Your wireless service provider". Is this something I already am paying for?
Thank You!! I hated that little sig. I just hated the way it came off
very useful. thanks a bunch.
Thanks reconstrukt this worke great!!!!
I have Sprint.
I had to use BlackBerry Internet Service instead of the link in the first post. inorder to get into my account
Thanks for the instructions. I had a bit of a glitch when all of a sudden my optonline account stopped pushing the e-mails, but I reinstalled it and both signatures have been edited. Great instructions.
Thanks again.
Thanks, reconstrukt. This worked great, and now I don't have to get cra*@% from my friends and coworkers about emails sent from their "Slow, old desktop computers".
How the H*** do I do this on T-Mobile 8320? The link on the 1st post just takes you to the t-mobile regular site, not the one to set up anything! help!
That worked perfectly. Thanks
You must first setup a nickname to access it via html. You use your phones browser to goto the BIS site and then create a nickname. I ran into the same problem.
I can't thank everyone enough for the tips posted to this thread. I am so glad to have a real signature now vs. doing free advertising for my carrier and for Blackberry.
My carrier is Cellular South. My default email signature is "Sent From My BlackBerry Smartphone". Can anyone explain how I can edit the signature? Thanks for any advice. P.S. Happy Father's Day everyone.
