what do i do with the event log? what happens if you clear the log?
It clears all the events your phone has completed. Takes up space in my opinion. It will free up a little bit of memory. You wont actually do anything with the logs except deleting them.. Again it is safe. I have had no issues with doing this..

The event log will hold a maximum of 200K in it. Considering the possible usefulness of the information, the memory you free is negligible.
• Name: "Soft" reset.
• Description/purpose: Performs a "soft" reset of your device; the equivalent of doing a "battery pull" (ie. Removing the battery for a few seconds).
• Process: Press-and-hold "Alt", then press-and-hold (RIGHT) "shift", then press-and-hold "Del".

I tried to do the re-structure, but it froze my address book. A "Organizing Addresses..." notification pops up and stays there, and it won't go away. But after a few battery pulls, my address book worked again, but there were multiple copies of one address, which I deleted.
Now there's rows of blank address, and I don't know how to get rid of them. I tried the ALT+ V, A, L, D but the "Organizing Addresses..." thing came up again and won't go away.
