I don't understand the difference between the 90xx and the 96xx. The only diff is 3G, but the 9630 is 3G..??

I was about to say that I need to be hoping for a 9650 as my next phone after the 9630, but maybe it should be a 9050....

Also, Radio has his phone listed as a 9030 which would indicate that it is some kind of a Bold/Onyx for Verizon.........but the xx30 indicates no wifi.........??
If I am reading correctly the 9050 and a 9650 would actually be the same phone.

Pretty cool... I no idea the models actually meant something... I thought the numbers just got higher as new phones were introduced. I'm an *****

Hmmmm, if the Storm 2 9990 is correct that would change the numbering scheme, would it not?

Since quite a bit of this makes absolutely no sense at all to me - I think we should have just asked RIM. In the end I always find it interesting how we tend to put way more thought into things that others do than the actual "doers" do in the first place. LOL!

    Peace

All the blackberries with cameras can record video AFAIK now. There's far from any set standard as to what the numbers mean.

The orignal Curve 8300 and Pearl 8100 have cameras and cannot record video. They are camera's only, regardless of the OS you install. =(

SO... how come the 8900 (which should be a Base Model without GPS, WiFi, or GSM) has all of those features? Any thoughts?
