Thanks! This could come in handy. Hopefully I never have to take mine apart, though.

That's great, thanks. I took mine apart to replace the housing once. Now, I have to replace my Dad's for him. I was hesitant to do it because I lost the first video. Thanks for posting it!

They should be the same. Do not quote me, as I do not have direct experience. I think the torx driver size may be different... but, once again, I am not completely sure.

I have bookmarked this page, tx bmcclure.

We (my husband, myself, sister and mom) all started out with silver AT&T Curves running 4.2
Thanks to CrackBerry, we all have titanium Curves running 4.5!
It's just like having brand new BlackBerry's

I had upgraded online to the AT&T refurb curve 8310. The problem was, they only had the titainium in stock. So I ordered the red housing online and then I followed the youtube dissassemble video and took mine apart. I then installed my new red housing. The job went perfectly and my new curve looks great!

I changed the housing on my 8310 using these instructions as a guide and now I get no signal and network info is no longer listed on the phone settings. I cannot identify any damage, but replaced the midboard on the off chance that I damaged the antenna. Still no luck. Any ideas or fixes? Thanks.

Ok, I have a 8330 and just bought a complete housing off ebay. I am planning to send to BeckyMae to paint but I need to take it apart first cause it has screen and sides attached. I am having a VERY difficult time taking the bottom piece off. It feels as if it is going to break if I pry it anymore. Any suggestions?

Great Post! Thanks for gathering and posting this helpful info.

I would love to get a new color housing for my Curve, but still to chicken to take it apart. So I have bookmarked for possible future use!

I saw one of the clips for the 8700g for taking it apart... Which I did the other week while my service was disconnected due to payments. So I cleaned out all the dust under the screen. Found the tools I needed right at Sears too.

Do a search on YouTube. I found a number of videos on disassembly and assembly of the 8310. Then I ordered a new full housing. Was very easy if you're careful and take your time. You're right about that bottom piece. It is tight, but it'll come off. I've removed mine 3 or 4 times already.
