When in BBM, hit the Symbol button twice and it will bring up a list of emoticons.

Yes that I know but can we add more and if so how do we do that. The more I am reading on this topic the more I am thinking we can not but if anyone knows how please let me know.

What you can do is copy an emoticon and assign it to an autotext entry.
So I have the BB emblem assigned to the letters BB. When I type them the logo shows up instead of the letters.

I downloaded this, found it in Applications...but that's it! No icon on homescreen or nothing!

Yeah it doesn't work right. It seems to use the emoticons already with BBM and has extra symbols next them.

Has anyone got this to work right?

the berricons app is only for sms msgs. unfortunatley we are stuck with the emoticons that rim gave us. some bbs have more than others tho. as for the diff symbols, i have a ton of them. feel free to pm me for pin and ill be happy to share with the class

no prob. even tho they show up as emoticons on ur end, when they are received they are not guaranteed to be an emoticon. it all depends on the receiving phones capabilities
