Hello, I am a newbie. Please help.
Hello I have a 9930 with Verizon.
I am currently on the .580 build, and I have heard that hybrid OS offer better battery life. Can someone please give me a step by step instruction on how to install a recommended hybrid OS? I have tried to follow the instructions in the stickys and crackberry website, but they seem so confusing!
What software will I need to install a hybrid OS? And which hybrid OS do you recommend for a 9930 .580 build on Verizon network? Thank you kindly!

To save you some aggravation, check the link in my thread. Every hybrid has information and members that are willing to help. Review the link, then, refer to the threads that have the most popular builds for hybrids for your device and "review". Starting these type of threads usually end with someone trying to give the OP a hard time for not searching. As a newbie, take the time to review(several times) prior to attempting to upgrade. Also, with hybrids, follow instructions. It's the assumptions and skipping small details that get members in trouble during the upgrade process. Good Luck. :)

now, is there anything different about hybrids? because everything still looks the same. lol

By now, you should notice a quicker browser....even rendering of images on the pages very fast. Minimal lag time, better battery life, and overall better performance. If you're not noticing any or none of these yet, conduct some additional physical battery pulls (not soft resets from an app) and you should get - eventually get better performance.
