Anyone know how to do this with Verizon? I have the same issue with Gmail, but can't find anyplace on their site to turn this off.
Log into your Verizon BIS site and set up a filter according to the instructions given on this thread and it should work. You wont be able to do it through the Verizon website, you NEED to log in to Verizons BIS site in order to set up the filter on the email addy.
OK, I am about a my wits end with this whole email thing. I set up the filter as explained earlier. I still get sent mail in my inbox for every email I send. I too would love to use the Gmail client as I personally prefer the layout, it is closer to using the desktop version. But the 20 minute delay is a tad annoying, as is the fact that I can not figure out how to disable the BB gmail client so it doesn't alert me. The only other thing I do not like is the "messages" folder / icon alerts me whenever I get any kind of message (SMS, MMS, email etc) I would prefer to have only the alert for the type of message I am receiving. Example: If I am getting a SMS or MMS, have the SMS / MMS folder alert me (i have them seperated), if I get an email have only the gmail client alert me. I could learn to live with the delay if I could get this to function the way I want. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Question...I have the "messages" folder that everything goes to. How do I get the folders so that SMS/MMS go to one folder and the emails go to their own folder.
this worked like a charm when I first did the filter, but starting today I'm starting to get the delivery message again in my gmail inbox on the computer.
"...gmail inbox on the computer", are you using Outlook or something?
The filter is merely for emails to your Blackberry...

SMS > Options > General Options > Scroll to SMS and Email Inboxes > Select Seperate.
