Hey guys Im sorry if this has been answered before but how can I restore my BB 9780 to factory settings but still keep my BBM and address book contacts?

BBM will backup your contacts remotely if you have set it up. BlackBerry Protect will backup your Contacts. Of course you really, really should backup using Desktop Manager.

How can I set up bbm to remotely back them up?

in BBM, hit the menu button. There's an option inside to backup contacts. To backup address book contacts, just use the blackberry protect app.
