Hi, um using a blackberry curve 8520 . I'm having problem with the facebook messenger. I downloaded it yesterday from the facebook site , installed it , restarted my phone with battery pull and after that when I try to log in it says " You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application, please connect to a wi-fi network or contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan" . Now is it possible to use this application without wi-fi ?? I'm and edge user and that data plan I use is " pay as you go" . I can use other programs for example the browser to go to the internet without wi-fi , but the facebook messenger doesn't just work .

Now if anybody knows how to connect the facebook messenger without wi-fi please help ......

    Welcome to the forums!

Do you have a BIS add-on on your PAYD plan? Most BlackBerry apps need access to BlackBerry's servers to work over the carrier network (while some manage to circunvent that on WiFi).

I'd call your carrier on this one.
