New blackberry owner. I am wanting to make sure that when I delete an email, bbm and sms message that it is really gone. I am deleting on handheld but want to make sure that there isn't any way to retrieve those. Thanks for your help.

Everything is also stored in the Message folder. Be sure and delete those as well.

Yes. Click the messages icon and have a look.

You can always hide that folder...but the messages will still go there. Its a pain if you ask me.

I agree, I checked the messages folder and my emails were there. SMS weren't and bbm's weren't. I also poked around in the bbm's options and made sure that Show Chat in Messages App was unchecked and the Save Message History was unchecked. I think I'm all good, just wanting to make sure. I don't want nosey folks messin around in my buziness...LOL, thanks

I'm sure the not the first that is this way. They do have a password option too, ya know!
