I feel like I might be going crazy. On OS 5, you could change the menu, from a more simple menu to a more advanced menu. I don't know the exact terminology here, so please don't rake me over the coals. Is this possible on 7? I thought that you could do it, and at one time, I thought that I had.

I have everything flow into my message icon. 5 email accounts and SMS/MMS. I prefer that. When I click open the message icon, it shows all emails and texts. Scroll to an SMS conversation that I would like to delete. BB button, then D for delete. WRONG. It goes to Display Style, not Delete. This is super frustrating. Every time it does this. I don't remember seeing this Display Style before, and I thought I had messed with my menu settings somewhere, but for the life of me, I cannot find it. Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes... Pressing D in the BB menu will take it down to display style. Press D one more time and it will go to delete.

Thanks for the tip on the double press. I didn't know that you could do that. Better than nothing I guess.

Yeah in earlier OS es there was an option like "display full menus" in the settings area.

On OS 7 within apps like messages you can long press and get a "Full Menu" option. But it has to be done each time.

^ this might be what I was thinking of. I originally got a 9930 the day after they came out. I sold it shortly after that, and then I am back on one again and I bet that the OS is a bit different now.

    I am on 7.1.0.523 currently.

Yeah it works with all the keys... not just limited to D.

I must have imagined this or I can't find it on a curve here running OS5. On the curve clicking the date bar in Messages gives a "Full Menu" option similar to the long presses on OS7. That is all I can find. Nothing under the global settings.
