Ok guys be gentle with me, I have a Storm which is running 4.7, I looked on the UK Vodafone site and I have the latest they offer, my question is, having read all the good reports on 5.0 can i upgrade my UK handset without problems to 5.0??? It would be heaven to have use of a decent handset again.

Same here can we upgrade ? and if I bought the phone unlocked will the unlock go away after upgrading or restoring the OS ?

Once the device is unlocked, it's unlocked, upgrading or downgrading the OS will not break this.

As for the OS Upgrade, sure, no problem, download the build of your choice, and then use the AppLoader to load it on once installed, remember to delete the Vendor.xml file in there first or it won't let you do it.

Location for AppLoader is usually c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
