I use it constantly. I am always finding things on my pc at work and on my mac at home that i want to transfer to my phone. So I email them to myself. And since the blackberry.net addy is only available on my phone, I don't have to bother to go to any other account to delete duplicates.
I use my blackberry.net email for all things BB related. So for my slacker registration and any other registrations, so I know its always there, and I don't get spam.
Same here, anything to do with my phone, I set up to my bb.net address
Its not my main email account, but I use my blackberry address for registration for apps that are installed on my Blackberry. I have my work outlook exchange email. Forwarded to my Blackberry address. I also auto bcc any email I send from my Blackberry, to my work address. I have my home email account (FIOS) installed but disabled on my Blackberry since I now access that account on my Playbook through native mail. It has Playbook native mailso allowed me to take my home email off my work inbox.
I have had one of those addresses since I first started using BlackBerry back in 2007. And it has been my work horse since then. I have no issues with it, it works efficently, and all my messages have popped up with no issues from day one.
I like having it because it's always on my BlackBerry, so if people want to contact me, they can instantly.
I choose not to use G-mail because I don't trust Google. Nor do I use my work account on my phone. (Both for Personal reasons and because there is no remote clause where I work.) The only other e-mail I have on my phone is my Hotmail account, which has that orange envelope. (Ties in nicely with my BeBuzz...LED FTW!)
Though, I love my account with BlackBerry.net. Your Mileage may Vary.

my hotmail email would be delivered 15-20mins later.
now i get it instantly
This is exactly the reason I have used it when I was a bb user. Instead of using polling, forward email to blackberry.net account so that it is delivered instantly.
I used an @<carrier>.blackberry.net for about 4 years, up until a recent trip overseas. I learned that I couldn't check that email from anything but a BB - and since I lost my service books when I used an overseas SIM I was dead in the water and had to resort to using my gmail.
I loved using the BB email address because I got absolutely NO spam. It was reliable, and I think a little snooty/exclusive to give out.
