Regarding your comment about public perception being that BlackBerry phones look like or are dinosaurs, I disagree. The phones may not be in every buyer's taste, but the designs of the late generation BBOS devices like the 9900, Torch and Curve for example look pretty nice. The build quality and visual design is just as good as anything else out there in terms of modern "look", in my view.
I am not arguing here that BB should reissue any of these phones, I am simply responding to your position that the phones are dinosaurs and that you think nobody would choose them over an iPhone to do basic tasks. I disagree with that as well. People will buy or use what they like, and there's still people out there that would like to buy such phones unless you surveyed the masses and came to that conclusion. I do agree though that more people would opt for iPhone due to the huge popularity, but that doesn't mean it's any better at making phone calls or sending texts. And just because people out there use any legacy BB phones, doesn't taint perception any more than someone using a legacy era iPhone as well - like anything before the iPhone 4 for example.
