I used to always be able to uninstall unneccesary programs on my BlackBerry. I upgraded it to 5.0.0.230 and I have Desktop Manager 5.0 but now all I see is the four aftermarket programs I have on there. I don't even see BlackBerry Messenger?
You can uninstall your apps from the device also. Options, Advanced Options, Applications. Highlight the app, Menu, Delete/Remove. Reset the BB when prompted, or do it manually if no prompt to reset.
I see from your sig that you have quite a device history.
You need to have the current OS on your device installed on your computer or it won't show the apps on desktop manager's Application Loader.
Something is amiss. You should see all your apps either by going to Options Icon-Advanced Options-Applications or clicking on Applications using Desktop Manager.
it should at least give me the option to install them no? do i have to run desktop manager as admin in windows xp or something? I will post a screen shot in a few hours if that helps
on .230 it breaks down the apps into 3 categories: core, add-on, and 3rd party. Make sure that you scroll all the way to the top to open the drop-down menu and select add-on or 3rd party.
Do you have only the one copy of the current OS installed on your BB installed on your computer?
no i dont. good point. i forgot about that. i guess being away from BB a long time i forgot the basics. so i def need the 5.0.0.230 OS installed for Desktop Manager on my PC or it won't recognize anything?
