I receive SMS as BBM messages because that contact is on my BBM list even though she's not a BB user. So my question is this, how do I delete a non blackberry text messaging contact from my BBM list?

press bb menu botton scroll down to delete contact

But when I compose an SMS text message for that contact, I can see the message I composed on BBM as well. The contact shows up again on BBM even after deleting

To prevent an SMS conversation from showing up in your BBM list you have to:

Go to BBM > Press Menu > Select Options > Under "Miscellaneous" uncheck "Show Text Messages From Contacts Linked With BlackBerry Contacts" > Exit & Save

Once you've done the above steps you should no longer get texts in your BBM list.
