    Any ideas on how to fix it?

    I've deleted 5.0 from my computer, reinstalled 6, deleted the Vendor.xml file...

    use the apploader instead of DM. Its located in the common files - research in motion folder.

    You could also use a program like bbsak to do the OS install (though to me it just seems like it runs the apploader).

    I tried to load with the Vendor.xml file deleted and got the same error message. I added it back and it loaded fine. Mine was on a Sprint BB Bold
